DNS Leak Test
When using a VPN, your DNS queries should go through the VPN tunnel. A DNS leak means your ISP can see which websites you visit even with a VPN active.
What is a DNS Leak?
A DNS leak occurs when your device sends DNS queries outside the encrypted VPN tunnel, typically to your ISP's DNS servers. This exposes your browsing activity even though your traffic appears to be routed through the VPN.
This test sends multiple unique DNS queries and checks which DNS resolvers respond. If you see your ISP's DNS servers in the results while connected to a VPN, you have a DNS leak.
How to fix: Configure your VPN client to force DNS through the tunnel, or manually set your DNS to a privacy-focused provider like 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 9.9.9.9 (Quad9).
